Is Mark Cuban Right About The IOC?

As many of you know, Paul George is possibly out for the year because he broke his leg during the team USA scrimmage on Friday. After the injury, there were many people who are now playing Monday morning quarterback and discussing about star players possibly not playing for team USA or any other international team.

Mark Cuban has lead the charge in terms of the owners. Here is what he said about the situation.

"The [International Olympic Committee] is playing the NBA. The IOC is an organization that has been rife with corruption, to the point where a member was accused of trying to fix an Olympic event in Salt Lake. The IOC [pulls in] billions of dollars. They make a killing and make Tony Soprano look like a saint.

"The pros in multiple sports are smart enough to not play when they are eligible free agents. But teams take on huge financial risk so that the IOC committee members can line their pockets.

"The greatest trick ever played was the IOC convincing the world that the Olympics were about patriotism and national pride instead of money. The players and owners should get together and create our own World Cup of Basketball."

Now people are taking Cuban's as a concern for players health. Mark Cuban started off by saying "My thoughts go out to Paul," "I really feel for him". Cuban is not saying this because he is concern for players health, what Mark Cuban is talking about is he and the other owners are paying the NBA players and in the summer they put on the team USA jersey and play for free while the IOC has been making money.

Mark Cuban talked about the NBA making their own "World Cup" so that the NBA could get their players to play and the owners make money in the process.

Mark Cuban is right about the IOC because they are well known to be corrupt. IF we look at FIFA it is the same way, FIFA went to Brazil without paying a tax made Brazil build a stadium, and could change laws in Brazil like serving alcohol at stadiums so they could make more money. We all loved the world cup but few even mentioned the fact that the IOC is corrupt and has been making billions of dollars.

What do you think, do you agree with Mark Cuban?
