Last Saturday night, Bellator MMA had its first pay per view event. On this card we had King Mo vs. Rampage and also on this card we had Tito Ortiz. Tito Ortiz fought the middleweight champion of Bellator Alexander Shlemenko. Shlemenko moved up from the 185 pound division and fought Tito at 205 pounds.
This fight did not last long, Alexander Shlemenko was a 7 to 1 favorite but Tito Ortiz made quick work out of Shlemenko, taking him down in the first round and then just like that he put Shlemenko in a head and arm triangle and put him to sleep. So is Tito Ortiz back?
Even with the one win in Bellator, you can safely assume Tito Ortiz is back. If we look at the light heavyweight division King Mo and Rampage has been talking about a rematch, so Tito Ortiz's next fight could be for the light heavyweight title.
Tito Ortiz offers star power and with his dominant performance he could make a case for getting a title shot. During Ortiz's UFC career, after he beat Ryan Bader, the MMA media were talking about Ortiz possibly getting a title shot with one more win. So Tito has been in this position before.
