It's that time of the year that we all tolerate and that's is to see who made the baseball Hall of Fame. This year only 3 players made the cut in Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, and Frank Thomas. Every year we have a writer that causes controversy and this year we have Ken Gurnick.
Ken Gurnick said he only voted for Jack Morris. He also said that he will not be voting for any players that have played in the steroid era, which mean his ballots will be blank for a long time. It's sad but this is only the tip of the iceberg.
The baseball writes seem to think that they have a lot of power because they vote for players to go to the hall of fame. So much that if someone treated a reporter bad then they wont vote for them. Also voters for some reason sometimes don't vote for a player for the first year on the ballot just because they don't want to vote them in the first year.
The Baseball writers ego are so high its unbelievable. First they want to play god and say I believe this player took performance enhancers and this player didn't take performance enhancers. We don't know if players took performance enhancers unless they failed a test, the federal government couldn't even get anything on Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds but we don't vote for them because of the suspicion of performance enhancing drugs.
This will continue to happen and will continue to make the baseball hall of fame process into a mockery but I have a feeling this will continue for a long time and that's sad.
